Male Epeorus albertae (Pink Lady) Mayfly SpinnerMale Epeorus albertae (Pink Lady) Mayfly Spinner View 12 PicturesThis spinner appeared inside our car after a rest stop overlooking the Snake, so that's most likely where it came from. Two different keys place it firmly in Epeorus albertae.

Female Strophopteryx fasciata (Mottled Willowfly) Stonefly AdultFemale Strophopteryx fasciata (Mottled Willowfly) Stonefly Adult View 5 PicturesSeveral stoneflies of this species were the first adult insects I found in 2004 when I started this site. The hatch was sparse but lasted a good part of the day, and I noted a few good rises despite the early season cold. They ended up struggling on the water's surface fairly often.

Female Pictetiella expansa Stonefly AdultFemale Pictetiella expansa Stonefly Adult View 12 PicturesBased on photos, this specimen seems to key out (using Merritt & Cummins 4th Edition) to Pictetiella expansa, but some of the characteristics aren't 100 % clear. However, that species is listed as occurring near Puget Sound and the head markings are similar to (albeit not a perfect match for) those of a male from Colorado in the scientific literature here: https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Head-and-pronotum (Pronotum: The top of the insect prothorax.)-dorsal (Dorsal: Top.)-Pictetiella-expansa-Boulder-Co-Colorado-North-Fork-Middle_fig1_315373449
