The years apart.
My son was born in Danville PA. When I was working for big brother. His mother and I separated and they came back to Canada. Anyway my son and I were apart for many years. When his mom died I came back to start our new lives together.

His Grandmother my mom told me that Ben would cry saying I want to go fishing why can I go. I have never gone, and I want my dad to take me.

Now that dad is home I swore that no matter what he was not only going fishing but It was going to be the best day of his life. I explained that there are two basic kinds of fishing. Spin fishing & fly fishing. I said you are smart and have great dexterity and I will start you on fly fishing. At this time he was 10 I explained it to him and ensured him it is a bit harder to do that spin fishing but by learning it first spin fishing will be a breeze. So I took him to a stream that I have fished and cared for my whole life. I told him there is a very special fish I would like you to see before you see any others. It is so colorful and beautiful beyond what you can imagine. I said we call this prize fish the Brook trout. I told him it is purple, orange, and many other grand colors and you will fall in love with it. It truly is one of God’s greatest works of art.

That first day he caught 15 brook trout, and 1 nice brown. Look at what the
beloved brook trout can do for eyes that are wide open. The picture you see
with him and a tiny brook trout is the very first fish he ever caught. We ended that day with his total of 16 fish. The nice little brown was number 16.
I took him back in the fall to finish the year and that is where he caught his 100th fish and he closed his first year with the 100th being a brook trout. You can see him with number 100 with the falls in the background. We have family in that area and that falls is like family to us.

Beautiful scenery and that boy is getting a proper education!!! Good job, Mack!

No matter how big the one you just caught is, there's always a bigger one out there somewhere...
