Advise on a switch rod

Richard Noob Posts: 1	We are planning on buying a number 8 or 7 approximately 11 foot switch rod. We are noticing Max catch is available but do not know if the quality of the rod is reasonable. Also we think we would get a better deal if we bought a combo. Has anyone bought a switch rod and combo they are happy with and recommend My budget is 400 to 700 Canadian for a rod reel backing and line

I use an older Orvis SSS reel on it with a Rio #6 switch line. Can easily switch cast 75 feet with it. bancroft michigan Posts: 420	I have the echo fiberglass 7 wt. switch rod, pretty neat. Im not sure its still available, I have two echo ion reels, one has airflo Skagit, and the other has rio switch chucker. I have not used it much, but I hope to remedy that soon. Mike.
