I haven't posted on here in a while. Longer than I thought. =) I usually only read if anything. Too busy I suppose. I took a drive out to Yellowstone for a few days to land some cuts. It was far beyond what I expected... AMAZING!

Great video Jim! Glad to see you back on here. You caught some dandy cutties out there. All on dries?

Thanks Kyle. The first day I landed 33 on dries. The second day I landed a dozen mostly on a streamer I tied. The third day I got them on dries, nymphs and streamers. When you go into the mountains it's easier to get the ones REAL deep on streamers, plus you can drum up some large cuts.

It's just a rough acoustic someone made of Pearl Jam's - Just Breathe.

Good call Gus!

Jim,

I was out there the first week of August. A very beautiful place and worth a visit any time!

Looks like you had a good time.

Spence

What's the colors doing up your way? Wife and I heading up to the middle of the Lower looking for some color.

thanks, Spence. I sure did. Color is just starting. Will be in full colors within a week or two, I think. Probably faster up North. We keep getting nice days. I will take them as often as I can... I'll just keep reeling in steelhead and browns!

Hey James, finally got around to watching this and boy it sure looks like a great trip!! Fantastic scenery and those beautiful cuts! I still remember my first encounter with cutthroat, the sea-run variety, in Winchester Creek near Coos Bay, Oregon. Is this a rainbow? Nope, had those characteristic red slashes under the jaws...

Spence, we are at probably 10-20% at least right now in color. Red maples have lit up in some spots, along with some sumac, dogwoods, etc. as well as some aspens turning gold already.

We are having fabulous weather but I am laid up with a nasty head cold! Five days left in the season and 4 of my spots close for the next 7 months...this season went by way too fast!

Jonathon
No matter how big the one you just caught is, there's always a bigger one out there somewhere...
