Well folks, I have finally settled into an apartment in Canton, MI, and it's a place of contrasts. I live right near an interstate onramp off a major local highway, yet my apartment complex is surrounded by woods & has wild turkeys walking through it! But I'm within walking distance to a Walmart...Town & Country, I guess!

The apartment is still a wreck, need a bunch of bookshelves for my overbloated library! But much to my delight, I discovered a pond within walking distance (3/4 mile) that holds decent 'gills & largemouth, as you can see above. There are many more waters in the area that I need to check out, once I unbury the kayak from the mountain of empty cardboard boxes it's under! Several lakes, plus a couple of favorite old spots near Ann Arbor (Huron River @ Island Park & Dix Pond at Matthei Botanical Gardens). Trout? Gotta go up north for them...but TG for bass & panfish!

Another "Boys Are Back in Town" story coming in July...back to Joe's place for bass & pike, maybe more on the fly this time!

Tight lines to all Troutnuts!!

Jonathon
No matter how big the one you just caught is, there's always a bigger one out there somewhere...
