Boy did I attend an outstanding presentation last nite by Bob Jacklin. Bob brought down from West Yellowstone a snowshoe hare's foot for me, since there are few left on retail shelves in the USA!!! 80,000 feet went bad held by the supplier. Bob put on a slide show on the people/anglers he met over his long, and storied career from the time he left NY as a 22 yr. old headed out to West Yellowstone to begin guiding, doing taxidermy work, and tying flies. And the history/photos of the Yellowstone area. His photos were priceless....fishing with Lee Wulff to stories, and pictures of the Catskill tiers before he left. And before hand I sat front, and center, and watched Bob tie 3 patterns that were raffled off after the presentation, and picked up on some tying techniques watching him tie. I slept well last nite.

Good stuff Jere! Bob has come to our Midwest Fly Tying Expo in the past...We all could consider ourselves lucky if we enjoy half of what that man has in angling...He is a very nice guy too boot. :)

If anybody's looking for snowshoe, I found a source. PM me.
