I'm making some exciting improvements to the site soon, and one of them is a feature to show "related topics" below each topic you read on the forum. Part of tweaking that algorithm involved generating a list of the most commonly used words in all posts (not titles) on this forum, and it wasn't exactly what I expected.

So, everyone can try to guess the most used words with at least four letters on this forum. After a while I'll post the answer, a list of all words with 4 or more letters that are used 5 or more times on the whole forum, in order of usage.

trout troutnut mayfly caddis nymph emerger pupae larvae larval shuck jason gonzo spence
All men who fish may in turn be divided into two parts: those who fish for trout and those who don't. Trout fishermen are a race apart: they are a dedicated crew- indolent, improvident, and quietly mad.

How about some of those other days - gorgeous, splendid, clear, great, warm, calm, rising, etc. While I suspect they are in the minority, those are the words that make this site great for me! Oh - and caddis.

This is quite perilous, actually. Haiku in a thread Jason started - based on the law of cause and effect, he could be deemed responsible. I shudder to think what would happen to our little online world if he were banned...

So far it's okay but if I catch anyone doing 5-7-5 syllable lines there's going to be trouble!
