Grand River Fly Fishing

Ottawa, Ontario Posts: 2	I will be spending the last week of July and first few days of August in Elora and Fergus. I will be doing quite a lot of fishing during the period. Does anyone have any info on the hatches there. I hear hopper and spotted sedge patterns work well there at this time of year. Any info on succesful fly patterns for this area would be greatly appreciated thanks. Rob from Ottawa

Moderator Palmyra PA Posts: 3233	Rob, you've probably already thought of or done this, but when traveling I always try to find a helpful fly shop owner in the area and get detailed information from him or her. Then when I'm there I try to get in and buy anything I might need to show my appreciation. This has worked well for me in the past.
