Moderator Palmyra PA Posts: 3233	I burned out a pair of wings from some very fine polypro mesh today and tied up a thorax emerger I've done well on in the past. The recipe calls for cut or burned feather wings, but the ones I've used previously don't hold their shape very well. Has anyone else worked with polypro mesh? The wings came out looking pretty good; I just hope they prove to be as attractive to the fish and a bit more durable than the feather wings. I've also tried web wing, which produced a good looking wing, but haven't fished it yet either.

Cortland Manor, NY Posts: 139	what is the source material for polypro mesh? do you buy it or is it a salvage material? There are so many interesting synthetic materials around these days, I can barely walk buy the dumpsters in midtown manhattan without pawing through them
