Posts: 6		Considering the luck of red dots on her, I would say it is a steelhead. I put laketrout in the title, because it was caught in the lake. If it was a smaller trout it would be easier to tell.

Posts: 2733		Does that lake empty into the ocean? Or are there streams and rivers entering and exiting the lake where it was caught? In the USA there are two distinct kinds of steelhead. Anadromous steelhead and steelhead stocked into streams and rivers that empty into the Great Lakes. Both types spent from 1 - 3 years in the ocean or one of the Great Lakes and then enter a stream or river sometime from October to March to spawn.

I don't know anything about that lake in Bosnia but I'm guessing that is just one big rainbow trout that had been stocked as a much smaller fish and just ate very well for a couple of years.

Posts: 6		Since there is some interests, here is an other one from the same area, but this is like 10 lbs trout. You can watch it in 4K. We spotted it as we walked by.




Wbranch, it is a bigger river that leads into man made lake and the lake stops and turns again in the river after the hydro power plant. So a river turning into a lake and ending as a river at the end.
