Nice job. Nice little video and I'm sure it gave you much pleasure to split the culms, plane the segments, and perform all the other steps leading up to those first casts and hooking those fat little browns. Congratulations.

Thanks step25, beautiful rod and cool video. I have gotten into fiberglass rods, but watching your video I might consider taking the plunge in making my own bamboo rod. My wife will thank you later!

Steven, that's a nice video, nice rod, and nice fishies! Gotta love those wearable cameras, makes the watcher feel like they are there! Well done and thanks for sharing.

No matter how big the one you just caught is, there's always a bigger one out there somewhere...

Thanks. Well, in addition to small garage shop I turned a spare bedroom into a rod shop. My girlfriend was certainly rolling her eyes when I was installing garage floor style tiles over the carpet... At least I'm protecting the carpet. So now you can tell your wife "at least I'm not doing what this crazy guy did"

Thanks, Rods for several years but bamboo is relatively new to me. I've been calling this my first rod but that not really true, A couple years ago I got into it, spent a lot of time with tooling, forms, practicing etc. Had hand surgery which derailed me for a long time but got it back going again this past year and have been pretty active with it.
