I was wondering since there are quite a few Forum members who live withn 200 miles of the Delaware if it might be possible to have a get together up there sometime between May 01 and June 30? I know of one cabin that can be rented for a very modest sum and it sleeps three. I also know of a couple other motels where the lodging won't require a bank loan.

I do know all the rivers; main stem, East & West branches, Beaverkill & Willowemoc intimately and would be glad to poing guys and gals in the right direction and/or go out and fish. There are a few lodges like Delaware River Club & West Branch Angler that rent drift boats and have lodging that sleeps 2 - 4 guys for fair prices.

A get together during the week would provide the most pleasure and the least competition. I can put up links to lodging and dining too. Anyone interested?

I have a two man kayak I'd loan out as well as a pontoon boat and of course I have the Hyde.

I would be really interested Matt, but it couldn't be this year. Maybe next?

Hi Spence,

Sure, God willing, 2015 is good maybe we could make it an annual event.

MAtt,
I would love to revisit the area with you however Spence has claimed a goodly portion of my annual allotment of "gone fishin days" especially in the timeframe you have specified. That being said I will definitely pencil in Troutnut Jam on the D 2015.

Matt, keep me posted, and I'll try to get up then. If I remember correctly, Artie had some luck on the Delaware fishing a fly I sent him in '09 and I'd like to meet him to see if he's still fishing the pattern and to catch up in general.

Artie, the emerger--it's still working for me anyway. Hope all is well with you.

Louis,

I still have that fly! It is sitting in one of my boxes...I remember seeing it last summer.

I only used it once...caught one nice Delaware fish on it, then retired it! I did use it as a model for some emergers I was tying at the time. I think I was specifically interested in the quill body.

I agree - it would be nice to meet/fish.

I'd be very interested as I am venturing north for my first trip to the Little J the first of May. Please keep me in the loop as I'd love to fish with members of this board also.

Hello Smeador,

Are you aware that the Delaware is more than 200 miles northeast of the Little J?
