Hi Ray,

Do you fish mostly stillwaters or do you fish some moving water and if so do you fish for trout, grayling, or barbel? I know barbel fishing is like a science in the UK and some streams have quite large fish.

Do you fish any of the fabled chalk streams like the Test, Avon, and Itchen? I look at short videos of them on YouTube and they all seem lovely. It looks like the banks are manicured in some plaes so you can cast easier. It appears no one ever wades, is wading illegal and if so is it to lessen destruction of the weed beds and aquatic insect life?

No i have never fished any of the streams you mention, they are all in the south of the country.
The rivers and streams i fish mostly are freestone in Lancashire and Yorkshire.
If you look on youtube, some of the rivers i fish are Hodder, Ribble, Calder,Wharfe, Aire, Ure, Dove, to name some
