Bancroft, Michigan Posts: 23	Finally after surgery issues followed by car issues and then a massive cold, I was able to get upnorth on a river. Actually I volunteered to do a redd survey on the North Branch of the Ausable on the last weekend of October. I had a wonderful time learning quite a bit about this kind of work and it’s importance. I did manage to fish both late Saturday and Sunday, I managed one medium size brown on a streamer. Bright sunny skies were no help for the fishing but certainly busted my mood.I spent the night at Gates lodge which I really enjoy staying and watched a little football Saturday night. I’m hoping for a little inclement weather for some streamer fishing next week, I might even take a pic of fish! Anyway, enjoy what’s left of fall, and Louis I know you have bone fishing trip coming up, I’m looking forward to some pictures. Mike.

Moderator Palmyra PA Posts: 3233	Hi Mike, it sounds like a good trip, nice weather, watching fish on the redds. I'd enjoy that. Thanks for the photos. I'm hoping to get a fish or two in the boat, and to learn to use my nephew's camera. So there might be a bonefish photo coming to Troutnut in December. Lots of other things to think about and work on before then as well--quickly getting the line out to distance, leading moving fish properly, strip setting the hook. Can I learn to walk and chew gum? Wish me luck.
