I fished Tuesday, it was darn cold in the morning 29 degrees when I started and the sun was just coming up there was no wind in the morning or late in the evening. I caught a medium size brown right off the bat on small brown flymph. Then it went cold till about noon. As it finally warmed up caddis started showing up. I stated catching small browns and brookies on a holy grail caddis. I didn’t see very many risers and what I saw small fish. After lunch and a little rest I hit the river again, the caddis picked up quite a bit and there were more small fish snapping at them. I also got run over by a drunk kayaker, she went for swim but held on tight to the bottle of tequila. In the evening the air was full caddis and I saw few sulphur spinners, but no spinner fall. I did have a good fish smash my size 14 yellow roberts drake but failed to get a good hook set. I didn’t get home till 1:30 am after leaving the house 3:30 am the day before, I’m still one whipped puppy!
Mike.
