I fished Wednesday on my favorite northern Michigan trout stream, it was a all day and into the night affair. It’s was cool in the morning, not much going on, but once the sun hit the river it was a smorgasbord of flies, all kinds of caddis, brown drakes, isos, and sulfur’s. The fishing was good but my timing was way off or just a lot of refusal. And then finally about 10:30 hex, and a bunch of them. It was frustrating and then finally I got a nice brown to take. I learned a lot that night for sure. Here are some pictures of just a little bit I was seeing all day long.
Mike.

Nice work, Mike. Thanks for letting us join you vicariously.

Mike, there was a Brown Drake on my driver's side window this morning when I left for work...big hatches coming! Time for smallies on Cooke Pond, Light Cahills on the rifle!

No matter how big the one you just caught is, there's always a bigger one out there somewhere...
