School me on thread

hillsdale, mi Posts: 6	I'm just getting into fly tying i've read ALOT in the last few months but haven't come across solid information about the differences in thread quality/strength/ weight/ or what to use on what kind of flys. basically i want to know what you guys do so i can correctly choose the right thread for the different kinds of flys i'll be tying. thanks for your help! excited to be joining the few and proud that tie their own!

You probably know who Chris Helm is and in his catalog he has a wonderful article that he wrote explaining just about all you need to know about thread. I can scan it and email it to you.
