Minnesota Posts: 1	My father passed away 8 years ago and he had one heck of a collection. Unfortunately I only fly fished with him once and haven't done it in 10 years. I have given some of his items to family/friends and have just stored the rest of it in a closet. I am considering donating a rod/reel and maybe some flies/tackle to a benefit for a guy I know that has stage 4 cancer. To be honest with you I don't know what to give and what goes with what. I also don't believe there will be that many fly fishermen at the benefit so I was just thinking of donating a nice starter set but nothing too expensive. I was thinking of pairing together an Orvis Graphite HLS 9' 3 1/4 oz (size 5) and a Redington RS2 3/4. Does that go together or would I look like a complete rube if I combined them together. I can list other items he has if it does not go together and maybe you can help me fit a nice piece together.

Moderator Palmyra PA Posts: 3233	Mike, I'm not familiar with the Orvis rod, but googling it, I note some are very fond of the rod. It was a premium rod a while back. The RS2 is a nice rod for the money. If you are donating, nobody is going to complain.
