May 30, 2010 - 6:30 AM--with the cool night and the promise of a warm day ahead, Mark, Grandson Colin and I rose early to get to the water to fish for a few hours. We selected a favorite spot and fished the run thoroughly.  The water temperature measured 62 degrees F, and the fish were active. Many fish were caught between us, and while they were not huge, they were quite feisty.  I took the largest fish.  It was a rainbow of about 12".  In all, it was a good day to be on the water. The trout were taken on sulfur patterns as well as olive colored imitations.

With the water getting lower, the stretch was smooth.

Later in the morning, Mark fished below the overspill taking a number of trout from that pool.

The Dame’s Rocket was in full bloom adding its sweet scent to the air as the morning warmed.
