Just found one of these rods for sale at $275. It's a blast to cast but a bit heavy.

Anyone know anything about these rods? Materials? etc?

I have an SP 490-3 that I like. It's a medium action rod, a bit softer than the faster action rods that I fish mostly now. My Cabela's 9' 3 weight LSI has become my trico rod these days, but for a long time I used the SP to help protect fine tippets. It's a very smooth casting rod. You can use Google to find more about the specs.
