About "Mystery Creeks": I love small streams, but some of my favorite little trout streams are too small and too fragile to publicize here. If you recognize one of these, you already understand why I'm keeping it a secret. These are the kinds of places that lose a little bit of their charm if you see someone else's week-old footprint, and I don't want to do that to them.Landscape & scenery photos from Mystery Creek # 23
I caught a nice brookie a few weeks earlier in this pool at the junction of a split channel in the stream. The huge fallen tree is great cover.
Lena wading across the riffle to catch up with me.
The clear little stream I was fishing is fed by a tiny tributary running across a beautiful bed of nothing but moss.

I took some neat underwater pictures of
salamander larvae in this pool a few weeks earlier.
