Just for the record, there are other creatures also looking to eat large sculpin minnows. :-) This one happened to be unlucky and ended up a meal for a snake on the Madison River in Montana.

great picture! As I posted in "friggin' bat", a friend of mine caught a water snake on a nymph once. I also once saw a snake eat a trout, on the Neretva river in Bosnia
