DIY Photo-Microscope with a smart cell phone, iPod Touch, iPad (aka Smart-D-Scope)

Afton, NY Posts: 25	Cell Phone / iPod / iPad DIY Photo-Microscope (aka Smart-D-Scope) A couple of weeks back I mentioned using cell phones, iPod Touch, and iPads with a $1.00 lens as a way to take dissecting microscope-like quality pictures. I have been playing around with them and have built several different models that work. I have also used them with my high school students. (My school owns enough iPod Touch devices that I can supply one for each lab group.) Students have taken to them like trout take to a hex hatch! Even students who are not normally engaged like the idea that something they have can take close up pictures of things that make ordinary stuff look scary. New!
