Hi Fred-

The outline looks more like that of a Cruiser to me, but if the only choices I am given are Darner or Skimmer, I'd have to go with Skimmer. :-)

Yeah , I believe we have more species of skimmers than anything. Of course It might be an amberwing . Next time I'll take a photo with a coin or something to show scale.
