These use to be called Baetis vagans ??? The male is 5.5 mm and the female is 7 mm Killed just before photos were taken.

Both are BWO's = Blue Wing Olives.

Nice shots, Mack! My old favorite. This little critter has accounted for some nice fishing for me over the decades. You are making a big mistake if you don't have this one in your box when you enter the Au Sable, or its many Baetis cousins.

Hi Spence . Sad for me I never get to fish them. I have had the same ones in my box I tied 20 years ago and never got to fish them. Most waters I fish move like a car on the highway. So I live on Isonychia and caddis..like it or not.
