We started out Monday morning at 5 AM and hit Orem about 4 PM. I took Rob to see the Cabala's, if you have never seen it it's worth a stop. Started out for Dutch John at 7 AM.
Got to our room by 12:30 and quick set up, grab the fishing gear and drive to the river.
First Brown in about 20 min. of fishing. You got to love this river.
< />
And a few more in 4 hours of fishing.
< />
We Walked the river the next 4 day, there where 25 of us from the LBCC most used drift boats for 2 day and walked 2 days.
I personal would rather walk it is a great river to go exploring in.
The flow was 850, a little low but no big deal and I had a great time finding and catching fish.
water was 41 Deg. they have had a COLD spring this year. The first day of fishing the temp was 45 Deg.
and the last day was 75 Deg. People were very happy to have some warm weather up there.

More fish photo's.

It's impossible to explain the attraction except to say that steelheading is like golf: viewed objectively , it makes no sense, but some people like it.

They really are gorgeous fish in there. I am glad you had fun. Those fish down there are worth getting down on your knees and stretching your arms all the way out. ;-)

What were the hot patterns, if you dont mind sharing?
It's OK to disagree with me. I can not force you to be right.

Posts: 560So you walked the "A" section?. or the "B" section? Starting from Dutch John and you drove the road to the lower end of the "A" section, and then walked down into the "B" Section?

From Little hole (bottom of A section) I walked up 2 day. One with a good dry fly hatch and one not so good. 1 day I walked down from the dam, top of A section. and 1 day I walked down from little hole Start of B section.
