I read everything I could find to put stage 1 together of what I will one day make into a book called. The Mayflies of southern Ontario. This first copy is to help organize my stuff for the book. In the end it will illustrate every species and all their parts. Im am illustrating them because I like everything to look uniformed. It would take twice my life time to capture every species. I dissected enough samples to use up some 1300+ slides this winter. This one is my desk copy for testing out certain thing like
my parts charts. Simply write down all the features of the one you have,
look in the parts list and process of elimination leads you to 1 or 2
to choose from..Easy pezy. Not sure how many page so far but I use one whole pack of 500 sheets :-)

This one covers; Maccaffertium, Stenonema, Stenacron, Heptagenia, leucrocuta, Nixe, Epeorus, & Rhithrogena in larva and adult stages.
to their concept

I personally do not feel that it takes a PHD to draw pictures of a bugs and name them from THEIR keys. I have another one to but not in the photos it is the entire Ephemerella umbrella all genus and specie.
to their concept

Mack.
