Just found these two.

In common names I best know these as leadwing coachman. I am sure enough
to call them isonychia bicolor. For the benefit others I will add
a nymph for this specie. But it is not the nymph that became the adults.
You will notice different dates but still same species this is multi time frame.

Mack,

I love this bug! Over the last few years I've headed out a couple times on a float of the Au Sable hell-bent for fishing the Hex...Both times I took nice fish just before dark with an Iso...An 18" Brown and another time a 20.5" Brown...Go figure!?

This bug is around for a great deal of the season and I've had great fun with in on the local smallmouth streams as well around Labor Day.

Thanks!

Spence

Hey Spence how are you these days.

This is my number one hatch. The only waters I fish are very fast small
cold streams other than a few ephemerella & macc hatch's in the early
season this is my daily hatch. I have never had the opportunity to
fish them for species other than trout, but I bet given their size
and swimming action the bass would go bonkers for them.:)

Here they start in the middle of May and go till late November..
