Someone identified the bug that looks like a piece of white fuzz floating around. I can't find the thread or remember the name. It was recent so I'm hoping someone can re-post the thread.

I thought it was an aphid, but when I looked at images online I didn't see any woolly white bugs, only the hairless variety.

Sounds like a fluff of cottonwood with a Sailidae pupa centered in the fluff providing the surface motion. I think I just discovered a new trout source food vehicle. Now to the lab to produce the replica.
