Born in Denver CO. and moved to Hayward WI. at the age of one. He cut his baby teeth fishing on the Namekagon but beckoned to the call of his native state where he now resides once again. Fortunate for me I have an excuse to depart westward for the reunion of father, son and the holy trout. I have just as much fun, if not more, snapping pictures like these than I do fishing. I use to out fish Justin, but he’s starting to kick my butt regularly, and when he does the browbeating is relentless. I’m reminded now of how frustrated I was when my dad caught all the fish, but it seems he’s turning the table on me.

PS. Check out the last photo in full size, Jason's new panoramic feature sure is cool! Thanks Jason

When asked what I just caught that monster on I showed him. He put on his magnifiers and said, "I can't believe they can see that."

Pops...You know what they say about pay-backs...;)

Humility a stream is the highest level of angling and most time the wisest...One never knows when them trout might decide to play hard-to-get or when ones son grows up to out fish you...

Nice post and lets work on getting Justin up and running on TroutNut...Looks like he learned something from you there, dad!

Great pictures. Very pretty.

I want to ask what river, but I doubt I'd get an answer.

This is a shot looking northward toward, the not too distant, Durango CO. The pictures were taken on the San Juan during the month of March.

I've never gotten a chance to fish the San Juan-hence I couldn't recognize it:)

But its on the bucket list for sure, especially after seeing those pics.
