Posts: 1My name is Eric Anderson and I am starting a fly tying business in the Littleton Colorado area. I was wondering if there is anyone out there interested in giving some part time fly tying lessons at my shop. If so let me know what you would charge?

thanks,

Hello Eric,

"I am starting a fly tying business in the Littleton Colorado area."

I want to make sure that I understand your question - Are you starting a commercial fly tying business in the US? Do you want someone to teach your employees how to tie flies? If your starting a business I'd think you would want to teach them to tie flies your way. I'm sure that you must know that there are dozens of web site discount fly shops on the Internet where a fly fisher can buy top quality flies for $1.00 each. I've even seen some web sites offering some flies for $.89 each. These flies are tied outside of the United States. How can you expect to compete price wise with outfits like that?

Your contact at eric@resolutiondesign.com does not open when I try to locate it. I tried to look it up and Windows IE couldn't find it.

>>Your contact at eric@resolutiondesign.com is bogus.>>

Whoa...

That's a little speedy on the trigger, IMO

The domain (resolutiondesign.com) is not bogus and the company is indeed in Littleton, according to the web site.

I propose we give the gentleman the benefit of the doubt before sending out the mob with the torches and clubs..

Damn, to think I’m here twiddling my thumbs, when I could be in Colorado getting paid to give tying lessons. I’d even consider doing it for free, but I should take a few lessons myself first. I spent the entire ‘70’s living in Littleton, wow how things have changed.

Good luck Eric, and the next time I pass through maybe I’ll stop and say hello.

When asked what I just caught that monster on I showed him. He put on his magnifiers and said, "I can't believe they can see that."

I massaged my comment to be less hostile. However I "copied" the address and "pasted" it in the IE window and I got a message that is was unable to locate that address.

Matt-

Assuming I am understanding what you did, IE (or any other web browser) is only able to resolve a Uniform Resource Locator (URL). What Erik posted was an email address.

URL ==> http://resolutiondesign.com
Email address ==> eric@resolutiondesign.com

Ooooh! I thought it was a link to a web site. I've seen many addresses like that that go to a specific web address. My bad.
