| Portage, PA Posts: 81 | This Olympus is on sale at Staples for $99. With it you get a free Cannon Photo Printer with rebates. What do you knowledgeable guys think of this for fishing and outdoor purposes? Need opinions. They also have Cannon Powershots and Kodak EasyShare cameras on sale for $135 to $180.I'm going out west next year and I'm in the market. | Posts: 59 | I was recently in the market for a camera, and after a lot of research, I wound up going with a Canon Powershot A590IS. For the money (retails for $150, I got it for $115 from Amazon), it's quite a little camera. The picture quality is great, and it has some manual functions which allow me to do some amateur photography things I've been missing since high school. I would think with Black Friday, you might be able to get it in the sub-$100 realm. It is not waterproof, so I bought a dry bag from Aquapac. A note about the Aquapac: you can take decent photos with the camera in the dry bag, but as may be obvious, the picture gets washed out with the flash on. So, why not buy a Zip-Lock bag? The Aquapac is guaranteed for three years. Chris. | |
