| Cortland Manor, NY Posts: 82 | Hi Tim yes I managed to catch 2 out of that pool (both small). I was using 6X leader/7X tippet. The first one I cast from about 40 ft below the pool -- all my fly line was on dry creekbed. The second I didnt cast at all-- just dropped my fly on the other side of that boulder. The stream is Big Sur River in California. | |
