Biography & ThoughtsI have fly fished for most of my life and now reside near the birth place of Trout Unlimited in Grayling, Michigan. I live on the Au Sable River where Griffith and Mason fished and this river and its tributaries never stop amazing me with the species of flies found in specifc tributaries. Whenever I hear there are Green drakes here I always ask, "what is the biological name of that bug," and never get an answer. The flies for instance on Big Creek include a very curious Hex that does backward somersaults while laying eggs. Trying to connect that with Hex has not been accomplished. There is still a lot to learn.
Forum SignatureHexamaniac limbataman. Tying foam winged Hex spinners, simulans spinners, and wood duck sidewinder parachutes, and other maverick flies. I am a real estate agent at Century 21 River Country Real Estate, Inc.
