Boasting is an important part of a proper fisherman's website. Look at all the big trout I've caught! Well, okay. Some of them were caught by friends. And family. And some of them weren't caught at all, but now that I know my way around a camera I can take pictures of them anyway.

The only mountain whitefish of the trip. I caught it nymphing the bottom of a pool so deep I could tell there were fish but couldn't tell what kind. They were whitefish.

Mouth full of worms. This is the first trout I ever caught that was stuffed to the brim with ordinary earthworms, thanks to living in a pool of a meadow stream with eroding soil banks. There were also some cranefly larvae in its gullet.

My nicest Westslope cutthroat to date (17 inches) struck an unfortunate dead-looking eyeball pose in this photo, but I promise it was released healthy and vigorously swam away.
