Pictures of Trout, Salmon, and Grayling, Page 17

Boasting is an important part of a proper fisherman's website. Look at all the big trout I've caught! Well, okay. Some of them were caught by friends. And family. And some of them weren't caught at all, but now that I know my way around a camera I can take pictures of them anyway.

This king salmon was the only one I landed in a day of fishing. I hooked and lost 7 others in heavy rapids. From the Salmon River in New York.

Troutnut's first Dolly Varden! Not a big one by Kenai River standards, but exciting nonetheless. From the Kenai River in Alaska.

I kept my limit of cohos and gave them to a friend to smoke, since my freezer is full of sockeye already. From the Delta Clearwater River in Alaska.

Big rainbow (estimated 25") in the middle Kenai River. Our drift boat guide (Jeff from Alaska Troutfitters) had a policy that he holds the fish instead of the clients, which felt weird to me but is completely understandable given the diverse clientele and the amount of pressure on these fish. Mishandling by inexperienced clients could add up to a lot of mortality. From the Kenai River in Alaska.
